Section 1, Group Stage - Round Robin:

In the Group stages, the teams will be divided into 8 groups of 4 Teams each.

• Teams will play one game against each of the other teams in their group.
• Teams finishing their group in 1st and 2nd place will be placed in the Single Elimination Bracket.  
• Teams finishing their group in 3rd and 4th place will be eliminated from the Tournament.  
• In the event of a "Tie Breaker". Tied teams will continue to play bo1 Round Robin series until the tie is broken

Group Stage Point Distribution:

•Win: 3 Points
•Draw: 1 Point
•Lose: 0 Points

Section 2, Single Elimination, Best-of-three match:

A best-of-three match is played in two or three games and opposes two teams of five players. The first team to win 2 games is the winner of the Best of three Match.

Section 3, Single Elimination, Best-of-five match:

A best-of-five match is played in three to fives games and opposes two teams of five players. The first team to win 3 games is the winner of the Best of five Match.

Section 4, Match Details:

Game Format: Tournament

Game Mode: Captains Mode

Sides: Radiant / Dire

Side Choice: If there is a caster assigned to the match, starting sides will be decided by a coin toss. If there is no caster assigned, sides will be dependant on the teams position on the schedule. Therefore, "Teams on the left = Radiant, Teams on the Right = Dire" Examplehttp://goo.gl/H4JGcb

Victory Condition: First team to destroy the opposing teams Ancient (Main Building) or First team to cause other team to forfeit map.

Server: South Africa

Section 5, Ladder Matches:

• All Ladder Matches will be played in a "Best of 1 format".
• The team that makes the initial "Challenge" will play as "Dire" while the team accepting the challenge will play as "Radiant".
 "Starting" side must be set to "Random"
• "Version" must be set to "Tournament"
• "Spectators" must be set to "Enabled"
• "Server Location" must be set to "South Africa"

Section 6, Substitutions:

• The tournament officials must be referred to before any substitution takes place.
• Teams are allowed 1 substitution per game. (Game = All 3 Maps)
• Substitutions can only be done before or after a match is played.
• The substitute must not be registered with another team that has competed or is competing in the tournament.

Section 7, Match Restrictions:

• Backdooring is allowed.
• Any cheats, hacks or exploits are illegal and not allowed in play.

Section 8, Disconnections:

If any player disconnects during a match, the game will be paused (default is F9) until the player has reconnected. Pausing is not used for any other reason.

• Teams have a 15 minute grace period to join the server/lobby from the schedule match time. The team that does not have their full squad on the server after the 15 minute grace period has commenced will have to be forfeited.
• Each team has a maximum of 15 minutes of total "in-game pause" time to deal with technical issues.

Section 9, Server Crash:

• In the case of a server crash, the game can be continued from the latest save. The person who hosted the lobby for the match will have the option (game setup option) to load from a save file when they host again. The save file is generated every minute in the background.
• In the unlikely event that the reload does not work, the game will be replayed with the same exact hero picks and lane movements until the first creep wave of the Radiant and Dire side meets.

Section 10, Score validation:

For a match both team captains have to report the match score to the tournament officials.

Section 11, Match Media:

Players are obliged to record their in-game demo and take a screenshot of the beginning and end-game scoreboards. 

Section 12, Forbidden software installation: 

Players    may not bring, install or use any external software or hardware that inter-acts in-game, any form of modification that would alter the game or allow a player to execute automatically more than one in-game action, or any configuration file, unless expressly authorized by a tournament official.

Section 13, Sanctions:

A team may be cautioned and receive a warning if one of his players commits any of the following offences: 
• Refuses to follow tournament officials’ instructions. 
• Arrives late at his convocation schedule. 
• Shows dissent by word or action. 
• Uses insulting language and/or gestures. 
• Is guilty of unsporting behaviour.

A team may receive a sanction if one of his players commits any of the following offences: 
• receives more than one warning 
• uses any unlawful or unfair proceedings 
• mislead or dupe any tournament official
